KIRSTY MCGILLEY
My Background
My passion for flowers came from gardening with my Grandad Donald, as a child.
Through school I was always interested in design, and when the time came I chose
to study Fine Arts for my GCSE & A Levels.
I volunteered in a local florist and just knew this was where I wanted to take my career.
I enrolled into Shuttleworth College for my Level Two City & Guilds in Floristry, whilst working for a high street florist. When I qualified I then continued and took my Level Three.
Shortly after qualifying I decided that I needed to take the leap of faith and branch out on my own,
and The Flower Mill was born
Always being passionate for learning, I have enjoyed teaching workshops for the past couple of years, and wanted to grow on that idea and create a school where creative flower lovers could come and learn
